Dr. Rebecca and Presentations

Dr. Rebecca spends her time also as a park ranger as part of her passion and teaching both different but can tie together really well. Somethings she mentioned is that when you are a park ranger you are set in an environment that is in the middle of know where and away from the world essentially but closer to nature and the environment. It is interesting because she teaches Philosophy, but this applies directly to her fields also as a park ranger because often her job is directly interesting with a vast variety of people daily allowing her to directly apply theoretically concepts of meaning and purpose in her daily life as somewhat of a normal job kind of opposite from teaching in a class yet still connecting very well. A common theme I have noticed is the more networking I do and networking here such as Dr. Rebecca there is almost no one I have encountered where they expected to be in the field that they are currently in that something else brought them there and that they actually enjoy what they have found over the stereotypical job they expected to go into from there degree. Some interesting things I learned about philosophy is that as from her definitions there is basically three components to the area: empirically based, philosophy of science, and network epistemology. This allows philosophy to help all disciplines and different ways that people would never have thought of who focus on just that discipline.

For weightlifting generally, you don't think of it as data or collecting data to improve each lift interesting at first, I didn't either but now I do. When I lift now, I usually think how can I optimize this workout for the best time and the best benefit for my health overall. There are many things I find important about this but through many years of research and lifting it all comes down to one thing regardless of genetics or body types it starts with what you eat, when you eat, and the quality of that food. Really the most important part of exercising is less the workout and more the food you consume. Which is why it's important to understand data in the gym because as long as your food intake is clean and enough then you can start to optimize the areas of lack within the gym such as form, breathing, and mental devotion.

It is also interesting that with the new technologies of digital media that while many may say they have destroyed art and media as a whole rather it has in many ways created opportunities that without it would have never been experienced or discovered. That allowing for more ways to consume media has actually allowed for new variation of creating media, music, and art. That allowing for many forms and new forms can build creativity within this fields and create interesting opportunities with individuals' creativity.
